Chillin by the pool

First off I hope everyone had a fantastic holiday season.  Mine was one of the nicest holidays I can remember.  With the Christmas rush over, and all the crafting for the holidays done, I've been a little bored.  So as I sat in my craftroom I tried to think of what to work on.  I decided that this is the perfect time to get a little scrapbooking done.  I've done two, two page layouts, here is one.

I used my cricut imagine for this layout.  I really should try to use that machine more, it does a fantastic job, and makes matching colours so easy.
The other papers I used were scraps I had laying around.

Batman Frame

My Co-worker's son started school this year.  On picture day he insisted on wearing his favorite T-Shirt.  When she showed me his picture I asked her for a copy of it so I could make a special frame for him.  Here is what I came up with.
I hope he likes it.

Christmas Wishes

Here is a card we made with Stampin Up demonstrator Janice Wardrop at Card Club last Friday evening.  I believe the idea for the card came from Pinterest, but as usual Janice made some changes.
I love the colors with this card.

Jingle

We made a card at Janice's last night, actually we made 4 cards.  All of the cards were Christmas cards and were quick and easy.  I will post the others soon. I don't have the stamp sets for the other cards so I haven't duplicated them. We used dies on the original but I used the cricut to make this one.

Holiday greetings card

For this card I got the inspiration for Mary from cards TV, I watched her YouTube video on this project. I had to change things up a bit because my Martha Stewart punch just doesn't work. I ended up using four different cricut cartridges on this card I used Ribbons and Rosettes, CTMH Art philosophy, Winter Woodland and Mini Monograms.  I also deleted the bow and added a sentiment.
The sentiment comes from Stampin Up.

Two more Christmas cards

I posted this card already this time I thought I do a new spin on it I used washy tape to make my ornaments I love the glitter on this.  I use tape works that I got from Walmart. I cut a 2 1/2 in.² and just cleared the tape very close together trying to lineup the patterns best I could.

My Pink Stamper

My Pink Stamper is up and running again.  She had a bit of a hiatus but now she's back.  When she released her stamp sets before I never had a chance to order any.  Well she is re-releasing some stamp sets and ink pads and she has a new one as well.

I have to say that Robyn was a ton of inspiration to me when I received my first Cricut.  When I purchased my cricut it sat on my shelf in my craftroom for months without being used.  I didn't know what to do with it.  Well then I found the My Pink Stamper Blog, and I have been using my cricut ever since.  (I have 6 of them if you include the Imagine and the Cricut Cake  -- and yes I use them all, I also have 170 cartridges and a gypsy).  Love love love my Cricut.

Please go and support Robyn, her stamps are of the highest quality.

First Christmas card of 2014

Here is the first card Info made this year.
This was a very simple card, I found a tutorial on Youtube so the design is not mine.  I added the embossed ornaments to the design to give it something extra.  I used some scrap pattern papers.  This was fast and easy, a great way to use scraps.  I think I'll make a few more like this.  The punch is from Stampin Up and the Sentiment is from CTMH

Another card from Janice's workshop

This is another card we did at Janice's workshop on Friday night.  I love the simplicity of the card.
We used a punch to cut the flowers, and dies to cut the leaves and black border for the sentiment.  I don't use dies as a rule, I have so much money invested in my Cricut, I know without the dies I can duplicate this card.  I love the stamp sets used in this they were Gorgeous Grunge and Work of Art.

Glass Etching

Hi Everyone, these are some candle holders I made to go with the wedding gift in yesterdays post.
I managed to find a set of three candles, I etched a C for the couples last name in the large candle holder and an R and D in the smaller holders.  The candles that came with the set are the brides colours for the wedding.
I'm sorry the picture is not the best, but I could not get away from the glare.

My Fingers

I was doing so well at the start of the year posting the projects I made.  In August I dropped the ball.  I do have photos of the things I have made and will post them later this month.
I am going to a crop at the end of this month and I have been busy getting my stuff together for it.  I always do this really early.  I find that when I do it early I will start with about 10 bags of things then work my way down to 5 as I look it over and think "I won't use this".  I'm interest in your comments about how you get ready for a crop.

Anyway here is a project I made tonight.  It is for my neighbor's daughter. I used SCAL2 and my Expression machine.  Once my camera charges I will post a picture of the card I made to go with this.  (by the way its wall art for the wall over the babies crib.

baby gift

So today is the final day for one of the girls in my office, she is going on maternity leave at the end of day today.  Yesterday we had a luncheon for her.  Here is the gift I made.  There are 12 onsies numbered one through twelve, they are for having her picture taken.  I made these with my cricut imagine, and my expression.  I would have done them all on the imagine but I was having trouble aligning the print and cut feature, so I just printed the paper on the imagine and cut with the expression.

Wedding Shower Card

Here is a card I cased from Pintrest originally posted by Heartfelt Creations.
this is from a diecut set I used which is a baby carriage, I followed the insutructions on how to alter it.
I don't have this die set, but I created my own svg of this die set and cut it with my cricut.
The card it thick so I made a custom envelope to go with it using my MS score board. I started with an 8 inch square and the scored twice at 2 3/4 and 3 1/4, the card itself is a 4 1/4 square card.
