Cuttlebug Birthday Card

Here's a fast birthday card I made, inspiration came from Splitcoaststampers.  Sorry I don't remember the designers name.

A2 mat sizes

Do you ever look at cards on Pintrest or Splitcoaststampers and wonder what dimensions a person used on their card.  The other day on Pintrest I saw someone had posted mat sizes for an A2 card, I pinned it.  I was looking at the pin today and thought why not take my scraps and create the sizes.  I marked each size.  I have not clipped them together yet but I am going to with a binder ring.

Now I can actually pull out the mat and use it to help when designing a card, hopefully meaning I don't waste as much paper.

Maddie Havelock

As I say on my blog I am an Insurance Agent with Allstate. Last year on Easter weekend I lost one of my clients in a car accident. This lost affected me an enormous amount. Maddie was only 21 (just turned her birthday was the week before). Well week it is Maddie's birthday, in her honor her parents are holding a fundraising event at the Humane Society in Ottawa. Maddie was a huge supporter of the Humane Society. I made the family thank you cards to send out.

Gamer Birthday Card

My oldest son's birthday is at the end of the month, and his girlfriends birthday is two days before his.  I decided today I wasn't going to leave their cards to the last minute.  I started with my son's card because male cards are so hard to do.  I saw this cut file at the Sillouette store and just had to try to copy it.  Here is my take.

Inks and Shaving Cream

I was at my card class with Janice last Friday, we did a technique that I have always wanted to try.  I never did this technique because no one in the house uses shaving cream, and I never had it on hand to give it a try.  I love this technique, I love the background that the shaving cream and the reinkers made.  Needless to say there is shaving cream in the house now.
