It's almost that time of year again. I started Christmas Cards a while back but didn't get them all done. Last night I woke up at about 2:30 and made a few cards.
I love Penny Black stamps, the two hedgehoge images are hers. I coloured them with my copics. The paper for them was Stampin Up, Pacific Point. I didn't think I'd like this colour but I love it. The sentiments on three of the cards is from Circle of Friendship (again Stampin Up). On the snowman card I used Tempting Turquoise, and some patterned paper I got for Christmas last year. The cuts were from one of the Creative Memories Cartridges, Cheerful Seasons. The paper for the cuts were scraps (love when I get to use up scraps).
The final card is on white cardstock with Pacific Point again. The snowflake was from Stampin Up Snowflake Spot. The bar along the bottom is embossed with snowflakes from a Cuttlebug boarder embossing folder.
Giving a little bit of me, hoping to touch a part of you. A blog about my love of papercrafting, and products I love Cricut, Stampin Up, CTMH, The Pink Stamper.

cutting cricut cartridge images with SCAL
I have removed the instrustions due to the "uproar" this is causing. Please however see the last comment I posted. This is not something I do all of the time, I only use it for a cart that I don't want to spend $119.00 for or for cart that is not available to Canadians. I want 6 of the Lite Carts, but only 4 carts are available at any of the Walmarts here, and they are not the ones I want. I want the Martha Stewart ones as well, but guess what, we can't buy those in Canada either. With this method I am able to have what Provocraft won't provide to us Canadians.

HALLOWEEN FUN
I wasn't planning on making any halloween cards this year, but I saw so many wonderful cards I just had to start. I used paper from K & company, pumpkin pie paper from stampin up, unknown black paper for backing, all of the paper dolls were cut from scraps I had on hand.

You Only Get One Shot
This is a card I made for my brother who loves to hunt. I cased it from the Cricut message board. I used stampin up card stock, garden green, chocolate brown, gable green and close to cocoa. The puppy was cut from paper pups and the background was from accent essentials, oh the tag was from tags bags boxes and more. The patterned paper was from a paper pack I got at Costco. I don't have a stamp that says you only get one shot, so I wrote that in by hand. I've yet to decide what I'm going to say inside; if you have any suggestions please leave them in the comments.

Cherry Lemonade Birthday
I've always wanted to try this card. The tutorial is on Splitcoaststampers.com I never tried it in the past as it looked too complicated, but it is really quite simple. Card stock was odds and ends from Stampin up that I had laying around. I used Martha Stewart loop punch on the side. The cherries were cut at two inches from Stampin up card stock. It's a little plainer than I wanted, but I am happy as this is my first attempt at this type of card. HB of course stands for Happy Birthday (stamp from Stampin Up).

Anniversary card
Hi Everyone,
This is a card I made for my brother and sister-in-law's Anniversary.
I used close to cocco paper from Stampin up, and some pattern paper again from stampin up. The image was cut in close to cocco paper with a chocolate chip background. The green is certainly celery and is embossed with the cuttlebug, the folder is ___ script.
The image itself is from the wedding cartridge.
Hey did anyone notice there are two new cartridges available only from Creative Memories.

CHEERS
Hi All, this is a card I made for my hubby's birthday that is coming up next week. Male cards are hard for me, but I like the way this one turned out. I used stampin up Apricot Appeal for the card base, and layered it with Chocolate Chip (again stampin up). The patterend paper was an unknown scrap I had. I used the cuttlebug spots and dots folder. The beer mug was designed and cut by me (if anyone is interested I have the cut file saved). For the foam I used Fun Flock from CTMH and for the mug I used Liquid Glass from CTMH -- although it is hard to see in the photo, and finally inbetween the strips of the mug I used Stickles. Cheers was stamped in Basic Brown from Stampin up and the stamp was from Snowflake Spot, again Stampin up.

Teachers Gift
This is a gift that my sister in law, and my niece made for a teacher. It is soooo cute. I think she used Locker Talk for this. This is not a cartridge that I own, but as usual after I see something with a cartridge, I want that cartridge.

Bee Happy
I cased this card from the cricut message board, I thought it was so cute. I designed the card in DS using Base Camp and Create a Critter. I have saved the cut file if anyone is interested. I used stampin up's Chocolate Chip as the base for the card and Creamy Caramel for the layers. I used black for the bee, again with the layers in creamy caramel, the flowers were cut in Cameo Coral, and the leaves in an unknown paper (it was a scrap). I added a diamond stone to the centre of the flowers, I stickled the wings of the bee and the heart at the top of the bee hive. The inside is an unknown patterned paper, again a scrap I had on hand.

Anniversary card
My husband is gone golfing this morning. I thought I take my quiet time and make a few cards that I need for this month. The first is an Anniversary card for my brother and his wife. Its a simple card but I like the way it turned out. The base of the card is stampinup blush blossom card stock, the pattern paper is from a pack I got at Costco, I used my Cricut Sweethearts cartridge, the couple was cut at 2.5 and the saying was cut at 1.5. Paper for the cuts were scraps I had on hand.

Male Birthday
Hi Everyone,
May is just around the corner, I have a lot of birthdays to make cards for. First up is my youngest son Chris, he is turning 19. What a milestone, he is legal to drink in Ontario, I remember feeling so grown up when I turned legal age.
Anyway here is his card. I used stampin up paper and punch. The golfer is from Close to My Heart, I used copics to colour the image, there was no stamp for the hills and bunker, so I just drew it myself (I am not the worlds best drawer. The ribbon was a scrap piece I had laying around.

My Pink Stamper Challenge
My Pink Stamper had challenge to make a card using the cricut, and the colours Green, Pink and Black.
This is what I came up with. The pig and the ovals were cut from "From My Kitchen". The Hogs and Kisses, are on the Just Because Cards Cartridge (I don't own this cart, but was able to cut image with the help of microsoft paint, inkscape and SCAL. (Let me know if you want to know how its done).
Paper pink and green are from stampin up, the pattern paper is from Forever in Time (dollar store), and the green glitter paper is from Paper Reflections (the multicut feature was needed for this paper).
Hope you enjoy!!!!!

Cooper
After many years of wanting a dog the boys finally have their wish. Tonight after working at the homeshow, we all hopped in the car and went to see this 16 month old Newfoundlander. He is gorgeous, a little over weight but I'm sure with all the walks he'll get from the boys he will be in great shape soon.
Cooper was staying in a small condo, sharing it with a lot of people and another dog, and cats. We are so excited to have him here. Cooper was great his first night here, he slept with birthday boy Jonathan. Dad thought he'd wake up in the morning and regret this, but he was thrilled to see Cooper. Nan would have loved this dog, so much like our St. Bernard Joe, but I'm sure he would have knocked her flat on her behind.
